Summary: Prince Aiba is the future king of Rainbow Kingdom who has to choose his future partner between marquis Sakurai and earl Matsumoto. The choice seems easy for Aiba who already loves one of them but what if a spell brings him far away from him? Can he believe in him or will he fall in the stained arms of the other?

The time for the party was approaching and prince Aiba was still secluded in his own room with guards at his door. Sho on the other hand was nervously going up and down the whole forest, looking for the lake. He felt stupid because he totally forgot to ask Ohno for the exact place. He just knew that it was deep in the forest but the forest was too large and big and confusing and... he was totally lost! All of a sudden he found himself in a dark place where the trees were thick and because of the dim light coming through the leaves, everything seemed sinister. He began to hear strange noises around him and felt scared. He looked around on alert but couldn't see anything. Crushed leaves and broken branches made him realize that someone or something was approaching behind his back. He immediately turned around and almost had a heart attack when he found Ninomiya's face at some inch from his nose.

"Are you crazy scaring me like that?" He shouted with a girly voice.

"I didn't know that you were such a scaredy-cat." The magician teased. "Satoshi sent me to guide you but as I see you are already pretty good. I think I'll go back to the palace." He then smirked.

"Nonononononono!" Sho screamed repeatedly. "I don't think I'll be able to find the lake before tonight if you don't help me!"

"Well, I feel generous. I will accompany you. Follow me." Ninomiya said with a hoity-toity tone and began to walk in the same direction from where Sakurai just arrived. The marquis made a face of disapproval but then he followed the magician because he didn't have any other option.

"What about Masaki?" He asked after a while.

"Oh well, we had an hitch but Satoshi is going to solve it."

"What kind of hitch?" Sakurai was confused and worried. Just as he thought, if you don't plan every tiny details, there will always be some danger.

"Don't worry, Sakurai. Your prince will come to the lake on time."

Or so Ninomiya thought.

There was just half an hour before the party but Ohno couldn't see the prince at all. Or better, the guards in front of Aiba's room wouldn't let him go in. He tried to talk to them for a while now but none of the three listened. It was in vain to persuade them that he had the approval of the king. They just stayed at their place like statues. Ohno was angry and really... being able to anger the white magician was a very difficult task.

"You asked for it!" He screamed and lost his patience before clapping once his hands and closing his eyes. The three guards in front of him fell on the floor soundly asleep and he nonchalantly opened the door of Masaki's room. The prince was trying to link his sheets with one another and his hair were tied in a little and cute braid.
"Masaki-chan..." Satoshi asked puzzled. "What are you doing?"

"Ah! Oh-chan, youkatta!" The prince cried out with a relieved tone. "I tried my best to escape through the window but books don't help in these situations. How could Rapunzel climb down her own tress? Ah and you know? You need too many sheets from my room to the garden."

"I bet it, your room is on the 4th floor, Masaki-chan." The magician said with a tender smile. He just remembered how silly the prince could be. "Are you ready? We need to go."

"Hai!" Aiba shouted with a beaming smile following his godfather out of his room and apologizing to the guards still asleep on the floor.

Unfortunately Matsumoto and the queen weren't so naive. They spread rumors about the king being sick and the queen ordered to not let the prince go out at any costs. Therefore when the prince and his godfather tried to cross the frontal gate of the Royal Palace, they were immediately surrounded by so many men that Aiba couldn't even count. Ohno began to whisper some strange words and moved forward while the guards that crossed his path stayed still like frozen. Masaki followed the magician, clinging to his vest but it didn't last long because the men were too many and Satoshi couldn't stop all of them. They at least managed to pass through the main gate and reached two horses that Ninomiya previously prepared for them. They hurriedly rode to the forest followed by some knights.

"Don't worry Oh-chan! They won't hurt us!" The prince shouted before an arrow flew right next to his face and left a little wound on his cheek.

"Masaki-chan, keep quiet please!" The magician ordered worried and angry but behind him Aiba let out another scream.

"What happened?" Satoshi asked and slowed down his horse to catch up with the latter.

"That's okay. It's just a scratch." Masaki replied with a painful expression.

They were already inside the forest but the knights seemed not to lose sight of them. All of a sudden they heard another horse coming from the opposite direction and were relieved when they saw that it was Ninomiya. The black magician surpassed them at full speed and stopped in front of the knights who froze all at once. The air was thick like a bomb could explode anytime. Nino didn't move and neither the knights.

"What happened?" Aiba asked shocked.

"Kazu don't do it!" Satoshi screamed and turned his horse, ready to help his lover.

"Don't come here. Sakurai is waiting and time is running out. Take the prince to the lake." Ninomiya said without looking back at him but Ohno could perfectly hear his worried tone.

"Just don't do anything stupid." The white magician said before gesturing Aiba to follow him.

"Don't worry, Satoshi. I won't die for sure because I couldn't wait again other one hundred years to hug you again. And you will surely cheat on me if I'm not around!" The black magician said while a sweet grin appeared on his lips. "I won't leave you alone again. That's a promise."

"Wakatta." Ohno replied because after all he trusted his lover although Ninomiya always worried him. "I'm waiting for you at the lake." He stated before leaving Ninomiya behind and rode as fast as he could towards the lake where Sakurai was waiting impatiently, the prince still behind him. They arrived in a blink of an eye thanks to Ohno that perfectly knew that place and Aiba began to scream his lover's name but he couldn't see anyone near the lake.

"Masaki! I'm here!" Sho screamed from the other side and ran towards them.

It all happened within seconds, when the sun set behind the horizon, a bright light came out of the water and a beautiful five colors rainbow appeared. Sho stopped and stared amazed at the rainbow while Masaki immediately recognized the figure immersed in the light and ran towards him.

"Sho!" He cried out while happy tears escaped from his eyes and when he finally reached the man he hugged him tightly and hid his face in the crock of Sakurai's neck, whispering: "I missed you."

"I missed you too, honey." Sakurai replied in the sweetest tone but with shaking voice. He hugged his lover back not believing yet that it was real. The past week felt like hell and now he didn't know any more if it was a dream or reality.

"Omedeto." Ohno greeted them with a beaming smile. "You broke the curse."

"What curse?" Aiba asked confused turning towards his godfather. But he couldn't hear the answer because Sho hugged him again and closed the distance between their lips, kissing him hungrily like their first time. When they parted, Sakurai noticed that Ohno was hugging Ninomiya tightly as if the two didn't meet for ages or if Ninomiya just came back from a dangerous mission.

"See, I didn't break my promise." Ninomiya murmured before pecking Ohno's lips. The white magician just smiled and kept on hugging his lover not noticing what was happening to the other couple.

Sho gently kissed Aiba's forehead while the prince was still holding tightly onto him. "Masaki, are you okay?" The marquis asked worried looking at his lover painful expression. The prince fixed his cute puppy eyes in Sakurai's and sweetly whispered: "I love you." Before he fainted and almost fell on the floor if Sho didn't support his weak body. He noticed a wound on Masaki's right hip.

Sakurai screamed the prince’s name with worry and fear, taking the attention of the two magicians who hurried to them. "What happened?" Ninomiya asked shocked.

"Damn!" Ohno shouted angry. "The knight threw arrows at us." The white magician studied the wound for a moment before he said: "Fortunately the arrow just grazed him but we need to stop the bleeding."

"We can take him to the palace." Sho immediately said.

"Impossible. Matsumoto and the queen took control of the royal army. They would take in Masaki-chan and kill us." Ohno stated serious trying to think of a solution.

"I can take the royal doctor to the cottage." Nino suggested confident.

"How?"

"Actually they don't know that I'm helping the prince. Matsumoto won't mind letting me in the palace. Plus there is still the party going on, the queen and him will be busy and won't notice if I take away the royal doctor."

"Take away? It's not a thing, Kazu. You have to accompany him." Ohno mocked his lover.

"Ok, I will accompany him." Ninomiya repeated. "Take the prince to the cottage. I'll come as soon as I can!" He then ordered before taking his horse and riding away towards the palace.
